Pereira is the principal and capital city of the "DEPARTAMENTO" of Risaralda, It is 149 years old. It is the most populated city of the Coffee Zone. Before it were a city, it used to be habited by the PIJAO and QUIMBAYA indigenous, who are famous as a result of the fact that they created really beautifull clothes with gold accessories, statues, rings and earrings.
